Americorp presents comprehensive dust control solutions at Tía María

In the mining industry, dust control is a challenge that requires solutions adapted to the characteristics of each stage of the process. Emissions do not stem from a single cause, nor do they occur in the same way at every point of an operation. That is why identifying where dust is generated, how it behaves and which technology is most suitable is essential to developing an efficient control strategy.

In this context, Americorp is taking part in the Tía María project with a comprehensive proposal that combines dust collection systems and dust suppression systems, two complementary solutions designed to meet different needs within the mining operation.

Solutions adapted to each stage of the process

One of the main features of an efficient dust control strategy is understanding that there is no single solution applicable to every scenario. Each stage of the process has its own conditions and therefore requires a specific technological response.

In the primary, secondary and tertiary crushing stages at Tía María, Americorp is in charge of the dust collection systems from its Americorp Plus line. This work covers the comprehensive development of different stages of the project, from engineering and procurement to commissioning, start-up and after-sales service.

Collection systems make it possible to address emissions at the point where they are generated, integrating into the process to help control the dust produced during crushing operations.

This solution is complemented by the implementation of dust suppression systems, for which Americorp was awarded the contract. This technology is a complementary alternative for controlling emissions during operation, addressing those points where process conditions require a different approach.

A comprehensive vision for emissions control

The combination of collection and suppression systems reflects a comprehensive vision of dust control. Instead of treating emissions as an isolated problem, it is necessary to analyze the entire process and determine which technology best responds to the characteristics of each generation point.

This approach makes it possible to propose solutions that consider both the specific needs of each stage and the general conditions of the operation. The integration of different technologies can thus become a key element in developing control systems better suited to the reality of each mining project.

At Tía María, Americorp brings its specialized experience to take part in different phases of the project, integrating engineering, technology and comprehensive management in the development of solutions aimed at controlling dust emissions.

Engineering and experience at the service of mining

Developing solutions for the mining industry requires much more than adding equipment. Understanding the process, the right engineering, the correct implementation of the systems and subsequent support are all part of a comprehensive solution.

Americorp’s participation in Tía María brings together precisely these components: from engineering development and procurement to commissioning, start-up and after-sales service for the dust collection systems. At the same time, the implementation of suppression systems broadens the emissions control strategy within the operation.

In this way, the project is an opportunity to apply differentiated solutions according to the needs of each stage, and it reaffirms the importance of approaching dust control from a comprehensive perspective.

Dust control: understanding the process to find the solution

Controlling dust does not simply mean adding a technology. It means understanding where the challenge arises, how it behaves within the operation and which solution best meets each need.

Americorp’s experience at Tía María reflects this approach: two complementary technologies, applied to different process requirements and backed by management that integrates engineering, implementation and specialized support.

In an industry where operational efficiency and sustainability are becoming increasingly important, developing solutions designed for the real conditions of each operation makes it possible to address challenges more strategically.

Americorp continues to develop dust control solutions that integrate technology, engineering and specialized experience to meet the needs of the mining industry.
