On Thursday, September 10, we opened the doors of our manufacturing plant in Lima to an international business delegation organized by PROMPERÚ. The visit aims to bring Peru’s export offering of goods and services for mining closer to the entire region.
The day began with a corporate presentation on our history, our product lines, the success stories that back our work and our presence in Latin America. The visitors then toured the plant and saw the complete process behind each piece of equipment: design, engineering, manufacturing and testing, all under ISO 9001:2015 certification. Installation, maintenance and repowering are also handled by our own technical team.
“Welcoming this delegation to our plant shows that world-class technology for industry is designed and manufactured in Peru. Our commitment is to support each operation with solutions tailored to its real conditions, and today we do so in six countries,” said Alexander Behrens, General Manager of Americorp.
We have spent 16 years developing dust collection systems for Peruvian and Latin American mining. Today we have more than 1,000 units installed in mining, ports, cement, energy and manufacturing, and more than 200 dust collection systems in Peruvian mining alone. We have two manufacturing plants of our own in Lima: one in Callao, covering 2,000 m², and another in Villa El Salvador, covering 1,800 m². Our work is organized into seven divisions that cover the full cycle of the operation, from conceptual engineering to 24/7 after-sales support.
During the presentation, we shared some of the solutions that support our clients today. These include Americorp Plus dust collectors, which report emissions in real time, and fog cannons with ranges of 150 to 500 meters. We also presented the eGuard family, our IoT smart monitoring line, which monitors dust collectors, air quality, ventilation and conveyor belts to anticipate failures before they occur.
Operations that trust us
We support some of the country’s leading mining operations, such as Southern Peru Copper, Anglo American, Las Bambas, Antapaccay, Barrick and Gold Fields. At Southern Peru, we have maintained permanent on-site personnel since 2010, providing engineering services and strategic projects for the operation. At Anglo American Quellaveco, we supply Dust Control Plus to stabilize soils and control dust on the project’s access roads.
In addition to Peru, we have a presence in Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico, with representation in Europe and Asia. This allows us to support the region’s main mining districts with local teams.
